It was a resounding success on this first visit of the Fabrice Pastor Cup to Uruguay. The small South American country is recovering its fondness for Padel, demonstrated by the large number of youth participation and the good audience that gathered in the final stages.
After an even first set until the tie breaker, the second chapter made Salías-Chiostri’s dominance clear, based on their great physical power, which their rivals could not match.
The public ended up enjoying the performance of four of the best players in the world. Last season’s sensational team, Chingotto-Tello, was victorious with 6/3 and 6/4 against the experienced Gaby Reca and Fernando Poggi.
There was an awards ceremony, fireworks, and a spectacular party finale with the presence of Pablo Forlán, a former soccer player and Diego’s father, accompanied by Walter Zeinal and the head of the La Rinconada club, Enrique Tracchia, the main people in charge of the success of this first incursion of Monte Carlo International Sports with the Fabrice Pastor Cup in Uruguayan lands.
